My session style

In sessions, my style is conversational and genuine. I treat my clients like equals and make space for you to bring anything you need to the couch.

You’re the expert on your own life, so we’ll work towards goals you set for yourself. My goal is to help you get there.

Some techniques

There are lots of tools and methods that we can use in sessions together. We can use one, none, a combination, or all of them depending on your individual goals.

DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy): I’m a Linehan-board certified clinician and I believe that DBT skills can be helpful to anyone who wants to understand patterns that keep them stuck and apply more effective tools to improve their life. I can help you balance accepting parts of your reality and changing those that are no longer effective for you, and help you build a life worth living.

Mindful Self-Compassion: Can help you diminish self blame and judgment, and see that you’re a normal human doing normal human things

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Can help you identify and restructure thought patterns that are keeping you stuck

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): Can help you connect with your values and learn strategies to increase acceptance around some of the toughest parts of your life

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE) for PTSD: Can help decrease symptoms of trauma, like nightmares, flashbacks, intrusive thoughts, or any recurring challenging behaviors

Gottman Method Couples Therapy (GMCT): Can help you and your partner improve your relationship, and increase sense of connection and intimacy

Okay, a bit about me

I’m a realist, but I love to laugh. In my down time, I’m devoted to my hobbies. Catch me sewing, rock climbing, reading in a hammock, and spending quality time with my family and friends.
